I got to wondering why I hadn’t heard anything on our magic bands, logged in this morning to see they shipped last week but I never got a notification and neither did Chase. That’s really weird. Thankfully I’d done our customizations ages ago when we booked it, so they didn’t ship out grey and boring.
I’m sure other people’s are longer but my list of magic bands is super silly:
This next trip I’m Jyn, Chase is Cassian, and Kevin is K2SO.
Previously: Yzma, Kronk and Kuzco; Ms Piggy and Animal; Eve and Wall-E; Belle and Beast; Perdita and Pongo; Leia, Han and Luke; Merida and KellBelle. I don’t know what that one random “KELL” one is because I haven’t used my actual name on a MagicBand… ever. KellBelle was the closest. I’ll have to look through my actual magic bands when I get home and compare.
Anyway, that’s exciting.
I’m not over-planning our Disney portion of our trip. I’m not even booking fastpasses! The only thing I have set in stone is our dining. I’m kinda letting the boys decide what to do and when. I mean we’ve kinda done everything so I’m hoping it can just be a leisurely trip where we aren’t running all day long.
It’s looking like our Universal day will be Wednesday right now. I’m soooo excited for Kevin to see Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley! Trying to figure out how we can wear our Hogwarts uniforms without burning alive… I think we’ll probably wear t-shirts and shorts, and just have our sweaters and robes in our bags. Kevin really wants to dress up so if it means carting around a bag with his sweater in it most of the day then so be it.
I’m exited to spend a whole day there too, since I haven’t really since, uh… 1990. When we went in 2013 we just did Harry Potter world in the morning and then left and went to Disney the rest of the day. This trip we’re going to stay the whole day and do the rest of the parks, too. Kevin’s not into roller coasters and Chase isn’t really into rides much at all so it’ll mostly just be a few rides here and there and mostly just walking around looking at stuff.
All of this reminds me I need to get Kevin’s interactive wand ordered.
